Claude Supertools — Token Tracker · Chrome extension · Effective date: August 11, 2026
This extension ("Claude Supertools — Token Tracker", "we", "the extension") is a privacy-first toolbar for claude.ai. It shows live token usage, session/weekly usage rails, and prompt-cache countdown, and provides prompt tools (enhance, lint, privacy redaction, memory, verify, dictation, and more).
The short version: this extension is 100% on-device. It does not have servers, does not use analytics, does not show ads, and does not sell or share any data.
What data the extension handles
The extension processes content on the claude.ai page while you use it, so it can provide its features:
- Conversation and page content — the text of the conversation you are actively working with, which the toolbar reads to count tokens, estimate cost, and power the enhance, lint, verify, redact, and memory features.
- Usage numbers — token and cost figures exposed by Claude's own page, shown to you in the toolbar and stored locally for your 30-day history chart.
- Your settings and content you create — toolbar preferences, the prompt library, saved clippings, memory notes, and optional backups you make. These are stored on your device with chrome.storage.local and never leave it.
Chat history archive — opt-in only. Saving your chat history is turned off by default. If you enable it in the popup, transcripts are stored locally and sensitive information (API keys, emails, passwords, credentials) is redacted before anything is saved. You can turn it off or erase all data at any time.
What leaves your device
Nothing is transmitted by default. Two optional features make network requests, and only when you actively trigger them:
- Dictation — if you click the Dictate button, your spoken audio is sent to Chrome's built-in speech-recognition service (operated by Google) solely to transcribe that one dictation. The extension does not store or transmit the audio itself.
- GitHub skills search — if you use the optional Skills feature, the extension fetches a public skills catalog from api.github.com to display available skill definitions. This request is user-initiated, and the data returned is not executed as code.
No other data — no usage statistics, no page content, no browsing activity — is sent anywhere. All code runs locally; there is no remote code execution.
How your data is protected
- All processing happens on your device; nothing is stored by the developer.
- Sensitive values detected in text (API keys, credentials, personal identifiers) are redacted rather than saved.
- The extension requests the minimum permissions needed and only accesses claude.ai by default; the GitHub permission is optional and requested only when you use the skills feature.
How to view, export, or delete your data
- Use the Backup button in the popup to export all locally stored data to a file on your device.
- Use the Erase button in the popup to delete all locally stored data immediately.
- Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored.
Children's privacy
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.

Limited Use Disclosure

The extension does not transmit user data to third parties beyond the two optional, user-initiated network requests described above.
